This is not a history but a story-telling with a definite flavor of praise for a folk hero. It even has a disclaimer stating that neither the author nor the publisher (whoever they are) "assumes any responsibility for errors or omissions... " And it states, "This book is for entertainment purposes only. While the story as written (on about a 7th grade level) is fairly entertaining, I expect much more from any author or publisher, and I expect more from Amazon than to be selling this kind of material proclaiming itself to be "Captivating History". This is not "history" at all as written and documented.
This book presents a good study of start to finish of how Cuba won its independence. I think of Vietnam as as country to compare to Cuba . Determined to win freedom no matter what the cost. Lying on 90 miles from the US mainland I wonder if the American powers to be wished we had kept Cuba.Get a copy & find out information that you prodidnt know. Another good job by Captivating History.
What you did not know about Cuba you will find out here. The country has a history of struggle and in some ways still struggle. Great read.
This book is an excellent overall history of how Cuba attained it's independence and the people who assisted in thatnquest. A must read!
This book was so detailed that after a bit I got bogged down. Although I will say the Cuban people have been though a lot.
The Cuban Revolution was a good beginning of why it happened.
It's a great lesson on the history of Cuba and the rise of Castro. Also points to repeated U.S. Foreign policy fiascos
