There's so many paranormal experiences, it makes you wonder if there isn't something more sinister going on. I also take an in depth look at ghost hunting, taking you along on several of them with Twin Cities Paranormal Society. This book is utter nonsense! The author would probably scream like a woman and wet his pants if he ever saw a real ghost. He is NO ghost hunter.There are numerous errors in the book. I will list just a few from the chapter about the haunted mansion:1. Mrs. Pappas as he calls her (she had been remarried and her name was no longer Pappas when he apparently "researched" this and wrote this crap) is NOT haunting the mansion as she believed that her dad was haunting it! I'm not sure who is haunting it as something is there, but it's NOT Irene.2. Mrs. Pappas did not die in the 1991 as the book says. She died in 2007.He obviously has his facts messed up.3. As far as the family knows, Irene NEVER told "numerous citizens" that the building across the street from the mansion would burn then day she died. THAT was a coincidence and odd, but she never said that.This book is full of crap...the author needs to write about FACTS and not some stuff he's seen in movies.I grew up in Mantorville and while I agree that there might be some ghostly activity going on, this book is full of fluff..not facts.
I thought it was a very interesting book, especially since I don't live too far from there and hadn't heard of it until now. A good place to visit this summer
