I jumped right in on the various chapters, or, I could have just started reading from the beginning, like the author, Ocean Robbins suggested. But no, I had to examine certain chapters I had questions on and guess what, every question, was answered within the chapter. The research is up to date and the latest on any subject of food, (hunt, gathered, processed, legal, environmental, etc. topics), and a few very interesting stories to scientifically prove the research. I bought a professional blender through Amazon just so I could try the delicious looking recipes at the end of this book. The book is well worth the money, even if you're curious about the health of our nation.
I couldn't wait to get this book. I am part of Food Revolution.com. I love the advice and the love that Ocean puts forth sharing his knowledge and wisdom. I also love listening to him on the different summits that I am a part of. It's amazing hearing him speak and feeling his love burst through wanting people to get healthy in all areas. Thinking about where your food come from, GMO /NON GMO, etc. He has helped me a lot with his wisdom and humor.It's funny when my son James sends me an article on Instagram and it comes from Food Revolution. I say I already know this, maybe you should just sign up... hahahahaha. But I'm guilty on that end too, I send him things that Ocean says as well and we try to encorporate that in our lifestyle.We became Pescatarians a few years ago. But lately more vegetarians. Ocean's knowledge truly have helped me on my journey. Hopefully he will come here to Pittsburgh one day. We have a wonderful Convention center right downtown 😠it's easy to get to , with many hotels within walking distance💓💓 I just love Ocean and his dad, one day I would love to give them a wonderful hug of thanks💓💓
Just received this book and have not been able to put down. Very well organized in telling the story of becoming whole food plant based. I love the way Ocean explained protein and the formula to figure your personal daily needs.Thank you Ocean for all helping me to become a better steward of my food choices and for the welfare of our environment and animal welfare.🦋â¤ï¸ðŸ¦‹
As a vegetarian for 35 years and a vegan for 9, I'm not going to say I learned a lot that is new from this fabulous book, but Ocean has done a wonderful job of explaining the reasons why going plant-based is the best thing you can do for your health, the animals and the planet. He does it without preaching, and often with humor. I smiled often while reading it, which I did over two days. Now I will start on the recipes!
He is easy to read and a great encouraging writer to improve your health through eating naturally.He makes things plain to understand.
