I wanted to get this book really badly to help me out as an FNP student, and as a great study aid for the boards, but I saw that the newest edition is pretty pricey and I can't afford too much more on books than i've already spent, so I bought the older edition. Very glad I did, all the information is basically the same, and laid out in a really great format! It has everything you need, practice algorithms for things like treating diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, etc., practice guidelines for acute presentations of illness, formulating differential diagnoses, common labs and diagnostic testing to order such as radiography and other tests, interpretation of these tests and labs and then also algorithms to help you decide when and how to appropriately refer your patients on. I love this book already and it is possibly the best purchase I have made as an FNP student so far!!If you found my review at all helpful to you, it'd be wicked awesome if you'd tap the "yes" button below, thanks so much!

Very concise. Each disorder is classified by description, risk factors if applicable, s/s, diagnostic tests, treatment and follow up. Practice pearls boxes are great. I use this to study for my FNP classes. It's a smaller book than I expected, about 9 inches tall by 6 inches or so and spiral bound.

I wish I had this book for my Health Assessment class rather than the required textbook - this is much more helpful and in a nicer format. It helps break down the assessment for writing SOAP notes as well. This book should be on every FNP student's shelf.

This is a very helpful and concise go to book. I use this in daily practice and I have been in practice for about 4 years, it almost flow like a SOAP note, signs symptoms HPI, what to look for and what assessment and plan is. I would recommend this book, only 4 stars because I think that with as much as I use it it showed wear pretty quickly.

This book is fantastic! It has so much relevant information and not a lot of fluff. It is laid out logically and is easy to flip through to find what you want. The size is great to take to clinicals or work without being overly bulky. My only complaint is that packaging that it came in.. it is kind of a flimsy book and amazon packed it in a mailing envelope type thing and the book came significantly bent and the spirals binding the book were bent also making it somewhat difficult to turn many of the pages. The book is not ruined or anything, it’s just annoying.

I love this guideline book. It covers so much and I can quickly find topics that I need help with. I love the tables and chart summaries. I highly recommend this book. It is good for students and new nurse practitioners.

Can't say enough good things about this book. This book is larger than a pocket guide, and gives a little more detail. It's packed with info, and yet is not so big that it's unwieldy to carry to my clinical rotations. It's also great for reviewing for the boards! I use it a lot when I don't have immediate access to a computer and/or if I don't want to attempt dynamed/etc on my phone. It's a great little resource!

I want to love it. I just don't. It has really good information displayed in an easy to read manner. It met my expectations. However, I find that I prefer other resources over this. You'll have to look at the sample pages and see if it works for you.

Terrible flash cards for teaching multiplication. Cards are printed on both sides so it is impossible to mix them up and it eliminates the ability of being able to test random multiplication facts for a desired range of numbers. On several occasions, the answer to a flash card is the reverse of the problem on the other side. For example, on the bottom of the 5x6 card it says the answer to the card on the reverse, "6x5=30."

These are the crappiest set of flash cards I’ve ever seen.Not only does it have upside down numbers in a given sequence, the sixes are completely missing.If you’re looking for a good set of flash cards, do not buy these!

If you’re looking for cards for a beginning learner, this is not your set. The cards are not in succession so there will be times where you have to find the next multiplication card and it breaks up the learning. They are printed on both sides and there are multiplication problems included on the bottom of each card that I had to cover up because it was a distraction. These may be good for an intermediate learner.

Absolutly positively the worst travel guide I have ever read!!! Don't waste your money. The only thing that surpases what it doesn't include, is what it does include. Hardly anything of value! This book is a waste of a perfectly good tree.

Bought this for implementing my new year's resolution in 2019. I like how it's pretty big when you open it up, taking up the whole 2 pages with each day as its own line. For me, I find this works better for tracking habits and goals than a square calendar view, and somehow makes me want to check off each box more as it gets towards the bottom. It's still only January but I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do this year with the help of this nifty calendar!P.S. The paper quality and structural integrity, etc, also seems good so far. If it breaks in a month or something like that I'll update the review.

Exactly as described and exactly what I needed for daily accountability!

This is a great book for anyone who is a fan of college football and wants a quick info source or to learn more about the background of the sport. I have the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia as well, and agree with the other reviews that this is more of a supplement. Still is a great book though! The ESPN book gives you more background of each school's history, while this paints a broader picture of college football as a whole and only covers the top 70 programs. One cool thing this book has is narratives for each year of college football since the 1950s. You learn about the culture of the times, what different teams' achievements meant to the landscape of the game then/now, and any rule changes or noteworthy events that were taking place. Didn't really examine the accuracy of stats and records like some reviewers did, but the main reason I bought the book is it features each schools' top players by position since 1955. This is a great way to see how more modern-day players compare with historic players from each school. Would definitely recommend!

I'll never read this entire book but that's not the point. It is a definitive reference for the last 50+ years of college football. Although only the major (70 or so) programs are covered, I have discovered facts I never knew. It's also a great book if you just have 10-15 minutes to read as you can browse a season or a few key games & then just leave it. Additionally, it makes a wonderful gift for the younger fans who can find a storehouse of information on why some of the greatest rivalries exist. Thorough, yet concise; reverent, yet with nuggets of humor. I recommend it without reservation.

This book basically stops at around 1953. It doesn't go back further, which is surprising since there's another 60 years of CFB that's not covered. This book goes into greater detail for each covered season than the ESPN encyclopedia, but the ESPN one has more raw data.

This is a good reference on College football, but is second to the ESPN book.....less facts and information than the ESPN book

The book starts out with inaccurate statistics. This has to be on the part of the authors. It is easy to find the winningest teams of all time the list should be accurate. Coverage of the selected teams is poor. For 15 years of research this is garbage. The selection of teams is poor. The top teams are included as they should be. Some of the teams included should rarely be mentioned in the discussion of college football; while some of the of the teams that have been at the heart of the college football discussions over the last ten years are excluded. If you need kindling here you go. If you are interested in college football DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Great resource. Mine has gotten a lot of use over the years and actually came online today to find a newer version. Would buy the next edition for sure.

Since I'm a huge fan of college football, this book is perfect for me. Comprehensive and enjoyable reading for the trivia nut. My only complaint is size of the book i which makes it somewhat cumbersome to read and store. Would strongly recommend the book to any devotee of college ball for statistics on favorite college teams, games, and individual players (70 teams in all). I found it to be a real 'blast of the past'

This bible is the perfect size for my son to carry around. It is easy to read even though it is smaller. Highly recommended for those kids who take their bible with them.

I got this for my 10 year old son right before he left for camp. It is his first bible. He loves it. The small print doesn't bother him. He reads it regularly.

Just the right size for our 8 year old to take to school. Appreciate the price, but wish that the "leathersoft" binding was a bit more durable.
